Client: Pacific Insight
Tools: Adobe InDesign; Adobe Illustrator; Adobe Photoshop
Pacific Insight is a reputable electronics design and manufacturing company. With their increasing growth, they realize their brand is not on par with their identity as a global solutions provider.
Though their marketing materials are informative, it is text-heavy, difficult to process, and do not highlight the end-products. With a trade show coming up, Pacific Insight hires me to rebuild their identity and to design the booth panels and product brochures for the show.
Booth Panel: A Luxurious Appeal
In order to capture the attention of executives of a multinational automaker, the panel features a large background image of the interior of a vehicle with ambient lighting. The black colour of the vehicle works well to convey luxury as well as to allow the ambient blue lighting to stand out from the rest.
The three main product lines are then highlighted on the right side. I use a solid colour, the corporate blue, in the banner background to group the products together and to ensure the product images were not intrusive to the large background image. The use of diagonal lines help guide the eyes from one product line to the next, and lastly to the slogan and website address. The web address acts as the sole call to action for this panel.
Product Brochures: Consistent Look & Feel
Using the corporate blue colour and logo, I create a series of product brochures with a consistent look and feel. These guidelines are then applied to templates for email and postcard mail outs.
The product brochures all share the same layout, allowing customers to easily identify the different sections: the overview, features / specifications, and full description.
In addition, each product has its own banner colour. This makes it easy for the salespeople to pick out the correct brochure for customers. Similar to the booth panel, the background images convey how the product contribute to the vehicle.
Email & Postcard Invitations: Clean & Direct
The email and postcard invitations use the same design: corporate blue header and footer areas, image with title, invitation overview separated from the details in bulleted list.
