Empowering newcomer women to build a vibrant life in Canada
Pacific Immigrant Resources Society (PIRS) is more than an immigrant and refugee services agency. They are a supportive community that empowers women to rise out of isolation and integrate into life in Canada.
Goal
The goal with of the PIRS project is to redesign the site to make it easier for people to:
- Learn and register for programs, and
- Gain a deeper understanding of its mission and objectives.
Result
As part of the discovery phase, we learn that the site mainly serves two types of people:
- Participants looking to join or are actively involved.
- Individuals and entities interested in supporting the mission, including volunteers, partners, donors, and funders.
This clear distinction helps us strategically reorganize the information on the site. We design the program pages so it’s easy for participants to scan and find a program that suits them. For the rest of the site, we craft messages that speak to PIRS’s impact and calls for visitors to take action.
The outcome is a comprehensive website that is user-friendly and effectively caters to the distinct needs of our audiences.
